The desktop background on your Mac or wallpaper on your iPhone offers a prominent place to personalize your device.

On the Mac, go to System Preferences

Click on Desktop & Screen Saver

Let’s pick a favorite photo. Choose Photos from the photo collection options

Click Favorites

And click a photo you’d like to use

The background changes to the photo you selected

On the iPhone or iPad, go to Settings

Scroll down to and tap Wallpaper

Tap “Choose a New Wallpaper”

Your Favorites photo album will be listed

Choose the photo you would like. Ideally, a vertically oriented photo

Tapping the middle icon toggles Perspective Zoom which moves the photo when you tilt your iPhone

You can also use two fingers and pinch to zoom in on the photo if you want to zoom in

When you’re happy with the position, tap set

You’ll be asked to set the Lock Screen, Home Screen or Both

Lock Screen is what you see before your iPhone or iPad unlocks and Home Screen is where your application icons are.
