004 - Control Panel

The control panel provides a quick way to access common iPhone functions.

To access it on iPhones with a Touch ID sensor, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. On iPhones with Face ID, swipe down from the top right.

Out of the box Control Panel shows you the iPhone’s remaining battery as a percentage, and gives you quick access to airplane mode, enabling or disabling cellular signal, wifi and Bluetooth.

It has a quick way to control your music, lock rotation control, and toggle do not disturb mode. You can select an external device to mirror to, and change brightness and volume.

It also lets you turn on the LED “flashlight” on the back of the iPhone as well as quick launch a timer, the calculator app and take a photo.

I’ll break down some of these functions in a future video and show you how to customize the Control Panel with more options.
