Is your iPhone battery draining too quickly? Find out what might be causing it.

Go to Settings

Tap on Battery

Battery settings show you the performance of your battery through the last 24 hours including when you charged, powered off the phone, went below 20% in red and into Low Power Mode in yellow.

It also shows you the amount of activity during the day which indicates the amount of power required at that time.

If you scroll down it shows you the apps used in that time period ranked by how much power they used.

Tapping Show Activity displays how many minutes of screen time and background time the app consumed.

You can also get an overview of the last 10 days.

Batteries deteriorate over time. Tapping on Battery Health shows you the current performance level of your battery in terms of maximum capacity versus when it was new.

Because fully charging and fully draining a battery can shorten its lifespan, by default iOS monitors your phone usage patterns to try and optimize when and how much it charges your phone to lessen battery wear over time. This can be disabled if you want to make sure your battery is fully charged every time you plug it in but can wear it down your battery faster.
