038 - More Room on your Mac Screen

Is your computer screen a bit crowded? Let’s free up a little more space for those application windows.

The dock is taking up some space down here but isn’t doing much most of the time.

Go to System Preferences.

Click Dock & Menu Bar.

You can use the Dock Size slider to make the Dock smaller and take up less room.

Or, you can check off Automatically hide and show the Dock.

Now, when your mouse moves to the bottom of the screen the Dock will reappear.

You can now expand windows to take up that extra space.

If you want to squeeze out a little more room, check Automatically hide and show the menu bar.

This will give you a bit of extra space at the top of the screen.
